Content of Work Package 6 Developing competences and disseminating know-how for managing shrinking regions and cities Strategic focus: dissemination and capitalization the project results and findings, to support the innovative models and solutions developed by the project and local level practitioners. Target group: policy makers, practitioners, stakeholder from regional-local as well as national or transnational level. Responsible partner: PP14, Office for National Economic Planning

Timing: till November/December 2013 6.1.1 E-book for tackling infrastructure costs in shrinking cities Description: the e-book serves as a course material and disseminates the project findings to a wider audience in English Planned content of the e-book is based on the followings WP 3 outputs: Definition of terms and indicators, data analysis SEB report -Results of the delphi survey -Policy conclusions Position Paper- Timing? 6.1.1 E-book for tackling infrastructure costs in shrinking cities Planned structure of the e-book: 1. Introduction about the purpose and structure of the document 2. Methodology, guidelines for usage 3. Demographic trends in Central-EU (based on Chapter 2 of SEB Report) 4. Basic definitions (based on SEB, other topic related studies mentioned in EAB meeting ) 5. Chapters about the different ADAPT2DC topics (Social care, Health care, Mobility and transport, Water supply and sewage treatment, Housing, Culture) 5.1. Topic 1 5.1.1. Overview of the topic on EU level (based on the EU policy review of the SEB report) 5.1.2.Overview of the topic on national level (highlighted the national level of the topic related pilot action- based on 3.3. Field study policy overview) 5.1.3.Description of the topic related ADAPT2DC pilot action ( with basic geographical information about the pilot region with demographical and labor market overview - SEB) 5.1.5. Topic related best practices (Best Practice catalogue) 5.1.6. „Training for national instructors” 6.2.1 Transnational study tours „Training for national instructors” The structure of the transnational trainings follow a standard (guidelines and methodology according to transnational curricula) Course material: Based on the content of the e-book and on the up-to-date results of WP3,WP4 and WP5 Aim of the courses: To train transnational instructors and motivated national stakeholders (first of all who speaks English well enough for that, and those who can do further dissemination of the outputs of the project on national, regional or local level) Education ‘style’: thematic, practice oriented, interactive way, with study visit on the topic related spot Language of the courses: English Length and venue of the courses: 2 days at the location of the pilot action Participants of the transnational courses: appointed national instructors, narrower local/regional administration and local/regional decision makers target group, PPs (optional for them) WP 6 outputs E-book (course material Curricula for transnational level Transnational study tours Curricula for national level Courses (in national languages) Presentation of targeted messages at conferences Strategic mailing list Policy Newsletter

Each participating country should represent 2 national instructors (for 3-3 segments) Suggested division of the demographic changes related social services: 1. Mobility and transport – Germany (PP2) 2. Social care – Hungary (PP8) 3. Health care – Poland (PP11) 4. Culture – Slovenia (PP13?) 5. Housing – Czech Republic (PP5) 6. Water supply and sewage treatment - ? ? - Italy (PP9) Output: 6 courses with 30 participants each Timing: 18-36 month (April 2013-October 2014) Suggested timing: November 2013- February 2014

Courses (in national languages) WP 6 outputs E-book (course material Curricula for transnational level Transnational study tours Curricula for national level Courses (in national languages) Presentation of targeted messages at conferences Strategic mailing list Policy Newsletter The structure of the national trainings follow a standard (guidelines and methodology according to national curricula) Course material: Based on the content of the e-book and on the up-to-date results of WP3, WP4 and WP5 Aim of the courses: To present the results of the projects in national context, covering each topics (3-3 parallel) for a wider audience Education ‘style’: thematic, practice oriented, interactive way (active discussion with the participants, collecting feed-backs and suggestion of them)+ study visit on the topic related spot, appointed national instructors (who had been trained in transnational courses before) lead the courses Language of the courses: national Length and venue of the courses: 1-2 days at the location of the pilot action Participants of the transnational courses: appointed national instructors, broader local/regional administration and local/regional decision makers target groups, researchers, PPs (optional)

WP 6 outputs E-book (course material Curricula for transnational level Transnational study tours Curricula for national level Courses (in national languages) Presentation of targeted messages at conferences Strategic mailing list Policy Newsletter 6.3.3 Policy Newsletters Description: Policy newsletter will be sent with targeted messages (containing the output, feedbacks of transnational and national courses) to different targeted groups of stakeholders, on the strategic mailing list in English and in national languages. Target groups: European institutions – English national policy makers – each national language in each country, regional policy makers – each national language in each country, planners – each national language in each country, local practitioners – each national language in each country,etc. 6 newsletters, each covering all ADAPT2DC themes in a specific way focusing on the needs of the targeted stakeholder group Using the same design as ADAPT2DC newsletters (with the support of WP2) English version will be translated into national languages for the stakeholders Target group is identified and covered by strategic mailing list Timing: 18-36 month (April 2013-October 2014) Suggested timing: From January 2014- October 2014
