All about Gymnastics Gymnastics is a sport that requires flexibility and energy. Gymnastics is divided into different events. A series of gymnastics moves is called a routine. Skilled gymnast preform hard routines and make them look easy.

What are the events in Gymnastics? There are events for men only, women only and men and women together. Men events are rings, parallel bars, horizontal bars, and pommel horse. Women events are beam and uneven bars. Men and women events include floor and vault.

Coaches You should have a coach by your side at all times when it comes to doing tricks in gymnastics. A coach always corrects your mistakes so they do not turn into bad habits. Coaches can help you on hard skills and help you learn new things.

Competitions Both women’s and men’s gymnastics have competitions or meets. The gymnast routines are scored by judges . Gymnastics competitions are fun.

Glossary Routine - a series of gymnastics moves. Events - gymnastics equipment used by gymnast. Judges – people who give scores or judge a gymnasts performance. Coaches – a gymnastics teacher who helps gymnast do different skills.
