The Rock Cycle Igneous Rocks Metamorphic Rocks Sedimentary Rocks By: Gabriel Dickerson

Igneous Rocks! The word igneous means from heat or fire. Igneous rocks form through crystallization of magma or molten lava . Igneous Rocks are tested by streak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. Porphyritic, pegmatitic, and vesicular are all types of igneous rocks.

Metamorphic Rocks! Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have "morphed" into another kind of rock. Metamorphic rocks are tested by streak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. Limestone , sandstone ,and fine grained rocks are all types of metamorphic rocks .

Sedimentary Rocks! For thousands, even millions of years, little pieces of our earth have been eroded--broken down and worn away by wind and water. Sedimentary rocks are tested by streak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. Iron ore, coal, and shale rocks are all types of Sedimentary rocks.
