Designing Our City’s Flag Copyright Right Brain Curriculum

Every country, state and many cities have flags that are symbols of their community. Copyright Right Brain Curriculum

Our city will also have a flag that symbolizes our community. Copyright Right Brain Curriculum

Each flag has colors and symbols that mean something important. Copyright Right Brain Curriculum

For instance, here is the United States flag For instance, here is the United States flag. When our country first declared its independence, there were 13 states.  That's why the U.S. flag has 13 red and white stripes. Copyright Right Brain Curriculum

Now there are 50 states and that is why there are 50 stars on the blue part of the flag. Copyright Right Brain Curriculum
