Euro- Schulen Halle The Euro-Schulen Halle - as one of more than 100   The Euro-Schulen Halle - as one of more than 100 educational institutions of the Euro- School Organization (ESO) in Germany - have been operating as a supplier of education and training and provider of learning services in the economic region of Halle-Leipzig since 1991.

Priorities of vocational training and further education courses for adults Vocational training and further education in the commercial / economic, language and management sectors nursing and therapeutic professions 3 private and state (officially) recognize vocational schools“ (economic, nursing, therapeutic) That means: per year about 100 new trainees

 ESF and government promoted projects that are tailored to specific target groups’ requirements (especially women and young people) to facilitate their professional integration at the job market  Job and training placement projects in co- operation with the Job Centre of the city of Halle and its region  Focus on young people with multiple disadvantages (no school graduation, job- and training dropouts, young people with difficult social background) Realisation of mobility projects according to the EU educational programme LEONARDO DA VINCI - trainees, training supervisors, young employees, partnership projects

International Courses 2 years professional training in business administration and languages (English and French) 1. Graduation: Economic Assistant nationally recognized Economic Assistant - Foreign Languages and correspondence 1 year international training and specialization (Tourism and Events; Marketing Management; Office Management) 2. Graduation: ESA Diploma 1 Year Studying Abroad: Netherlands, UK Bachelor of Arts

Competences  Development and realisation of modern, practically orientated programmes for training and further education  Development and realisation of job and training placement projects for disadvantaged persons  Development and realisation of modern language- and teaching concepts for the training of foreign students and trainees inclusion of international experiences and close collaboration with international partners to develop training and further educational offerings Currently: 35 permanently employed members of staff (training supervisors, teachers, project managers, social education workers, project co-workers, trainers, staff in administration) as well as 30 to 40 freelancers.

Kinds of international activities - work placements during and after the vocational training realisation of parts of the vocational training abroad extension studies / extended vocational training development of new international designs for vocational trainings / extended vocational training on the base of a national completed vocational training language courses: German, English, French, Russian and others development and realisation of projects for unemployed people within the ESF- programme especially for young people, women and older people

Projects for disadvantaged persons in the labour market Aims: -         - integration in a job or vocational training -         - reduction of the unemployment -reduction of social conflict potentials Target groups: -  - long term unemployed persons (especially women and young people) - unemployed persons above 50 years old - single parents Young people: Youths at the transition from school education to vocational training, or from vocational training to work, youths without any school graduation, school and training dropouts, youths with a complicated social background

Selected projects of recent years Job placement measures – sponsored by the state „Saxony-Anhalt“ Integration into the labour market by long term placements (3 – 6 months) in private enterprises and qualification in relation to the job (IR: 60% - 70%) Target group: long term unemployed women and young people with a closed vocational training „HELP“ und „Screening for Work“ Placement projects in a job or vocational training for multiple disadvantaged young people (17 – 25 aged) (IR: 30% - 35%) REIZ - Reintegration Centre for handicapped people ASZ 50 - Labour market service centre for people above 50

Experiences in projects with disadvantaged young people (17 – 25 years old) Remarks to the target group: great deficits in the fields of social competences and general education school or training dropouts, without any school graduation move outside social and cultural norms. The main objectives of these projects are: to help those young people to get out of these precarious living conditions Reintegrating these youths into social life should be the most important aspect of such a project. - this targets shall be reached mainly by means of education, employment and the transmission of social competences.

The experiences in these projects were the starting point for applying our partnership project: To find new ideas for projects together with partners from different European regions which help young people to become integrated into society by different methods and to prevent their social exclusion.
