Wonderful Ways To Save Water Zoë Byham 4B

Don`t leave the water running Drip-Drop By Zoë Byham Don`t leave the water running You’re wasting it away You’re lucky you even have a faucet to let Drip-drop away

Do you know this. The Earth is covered by three fourths of water Do you know this? The Earth is covered by three fourths of water. The Earth only is 3% freshwater but the rest of the 70% is salt. Of all the fresh water 2 % is locked in ice. Only 1% is ready for us to drink! Did you know this before I told you?

The average family in Arid Africa uses 10-40 liters for cooking, bathing, and drinking. The average person in North America uses 300-600 liters of water each day. That’s a lot! The average family in North America uses more than 290 liters more than a family in Arid Africa.

Each family in Arid use 5 gallons of water each day, and have to walk miles to find water! Each person in the U.S uses about 30-50 gallons a day! The average family in Arid A person in US 25

So keep it clean So keep it clean So keep it clean Did you know that 0.007% of the 2.5% of water that is fresh is ready for people to drink. These fractions compare that 66% of Earth is covered by water, but only 2.5 is fresh and only 0.007 is ready for us to drink. It is amazing that 1 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water! It is hard for people to find drinking water because they live in a place not close to waterways or that they are in a very hot or cold climate. The disease Cholera is a very bad sickness that you get from water by a common shaped bacteria Vibrio cholerae. The two facts about the water project are that people in the US use about 290 liters more than a person in Arid . Each person in the US uses 300-600 liters a day. Don`t you think that we use to much water considering we have so little ready to drink!

Did you know that people in the United States use about 300-600 liters of water a day, but a family use 290 liters less each day! That family lives in Arid, Africa. Well, I didn`t know it in till I did this water research project, it also surprised me more than anything else did. I found out that I use way too much water, so I decided to be more careful about using water. If I was a kid that lived in one of those places that you have to walk miles to get a bucket of water, I would have to stop many times and be furies when I am almost home then I trip and all the water spills out! I would be ready to give up as soon as I start! Click here to see my Excel project about water conservation
