4 MarilynWebster But not everyone can! Clean water is essential for life, but over a billion people in the world do not have it. In many parts of the world people do not even have access to water. Fact: over two million people die from water related diseases every year. The total population for Wales is nearly 3 million (2001 census)

9 MarilynWebster So how much water do you use? More than 1,200 litres you are WASTING water Try to stop wasting water, don’t leave taps running 750 – 1.200 litres you are a FRIENDLY user. Good but perhaps you could find ways of saving water. Less than 750 litres you are a real CHAMPION. Just make sure you are drinking enough water and that you are not going without showers!

13 MarilynWebster Could this be you? If water usage continues at the present rate by 2025 two out of every three people will not have enough water for their basic needs. At present not everyone in the world has access to clean, safe water.

14 MarilynWebster What have you learnt? How much water I use on average every day. Ways in which I can save water. That not everyone in the world has access to clean water. That without clean water many people will die. That we should not take fresh water for granted.
