Purpose Provide systematic and explicit instruction Scaffold students’ initial learning Ensure that every student is working at ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development) Increase potential for high degree of ALT Maximize teacher and building resources

Data Drives Instruction and Grouping

Forming Small Groups Look at data Meet with small groups of students according to your classroom needs (3-5 times a week) Be flexible
