My quotation from chapter eighteen The quotation where Brady reflected, “I knew I needed to make a decision on this trip about what to do with that drill, but I didn’t want to start thinking about it yet, so I put some music on, adjusted the earphones, and settled in for the ride” was troubling (131-132). I thought Brady had his head on straight, but now I wonder I can’t even believe Brady feels like this is a dilemma

Building Background Knowledge About My World View CNN 10 Which story did you find yourself thinking most about? Make it the title of your paragraph Write at least a 5 sentence paragraph that tells me about the story you chose and why you chose it http://www.cnn.com/cnn10

Grammar: Plural nouns Review: A plural noun names more than one person, place, thing or idea. Example: He shops for fresh fruit in neighborhood markets.

Practice: Plural Nouns Copy the paragraph below, circling each plural noun: Passengers all about us were crowding against the rail. Jabbered conversation, sharp cries, laughs, and cheers—a steadily rising din filled the air. Mothers and fathers lifted up babies so that they too could see, off to the left, the statue of liberty. --Russell Freedman, Immigrant Kids Passengers cries laughs cheers Mothers fathers babies
