The East Sussex Compact Launched in 2003, revised in 2005 and 2011 In 2007 received a National Commendation for Innovation and Impact In 2008 received a National Compact Excellence Award

Signatories to the East Sussex Compact include: County Council Borough and District councils NHS Trusts Voluntary and Community Organisations Councils for Voluntary Service Sussex Police East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service

Aims of the East Sussex Compact Agreeing commitments and an effective framework for partnership working Improving working relationships in order to provide more effective and co-ordinated services to communities Improving consultation, communication, collaboration, trust and respect Assisting partner agencies in meeting common strategic aims

There are 6 Codes of Practice to underpin the East Sussex Compact. Funding & Procurement Consultation and Community Engagement Volunteering Community Groups Partnerships Equality and Diversity
