The Lord Saves the Humble “For You will save the humble people” (Psalm 18:27) “For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.” (Psalm 149:4)

The Lord Guides the Humble “The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.” (Psalm 25:9)

The Lord Gives Grace to the Humble “Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.” (Proverbs 3:34) “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’.” (James 4:6)

Humility Precedes Honor “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.” (Proverbs 15:33)

Humility Precedes Exaltation On three different occasions Jesus declared: “he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Matthew 23:12 Luke 13:11 Luke 18:14

Thoughts on Humility and Worship Worship is to feel in the heart and express in an appropriate way our adoration and awe toward our high and holy God.   Worship is humbling.   The prideful man cannot worship God any more than the arrogant devil can worship God.   There must be humility in the heart before there can be worship.

Let us Humble Ourselves and Worship Our God “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6)
