Did You Know? That Salisbury is a medieval city. That Salisbury cathedral is 606ft high. It has 45,000 People living in it. There are a number of secondary schools. Work started on it in 1220. Some buildings are supposed to be haunted…

Stonehenge Is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world… Age: estimated at 3100 BC Location: Wiltshire, UK Type of stone: Bluestone, Sarsen, Welsh Sandstone Is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world…

Old Sarum... Old Sarum is the site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury. The site contains evidence of human habitation as early as 3000BC.Old Sarum is mentioned in some of the earliest records in the country. It sits on a hill about two miles north of modern Salisbury. Old Sarum was originally a hill fort strategically placed on the conjunction of two trade routes and the River Avon. The hill fort is broadly oval in shape. 1300 feet in length and 1200 feet in width, it consists of a bank and ditch with an entrance on the eastern side. However, by the 19th Century, the village was officially uninhabited.
