DEATH IN HAMLET The play, Hamlet begins when Claudius kills the king, his brother. At night, the King's ghost appears and tells Hamlet the truth about his death. The king orders Hamlet to seek revenge for his unnatural death. Death becomes a dominant theme throughout Hamlet.

King Hamlet's Death How??? CLAUDIUS KING HAMLET

KING'S HAMLET DEATH Claudius put poison on his brother's ear because he wants to become the king.

POLONIUS' DEATH How?? HAMLET POLONIUS

POLONIUS' DEATH While Hamlet is telling the true story about the King's death to Gertrude, Polonius is listening to them behind the curtain to learn about Hamlet's madness. Hamlet thinks the person who is behind the curtain is Claudius, so he stabs him.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern's Death How??? Why?? ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN KING OF ENGLAND

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern They are Hamlet's friends but they betray him with Claudius. Rosencrantz & Guildenstern go with Hamlet to England because Claudius sends a letter to king of England. The letter says that they have to kill Hamlet by Claudius's order.

OPHELIA'S DEATH How???

OPHELIA'S DEATH She is mad about Hamlet's love and her father's death. One day she goes to the river to pick flowers, she falls out into the river and she drawns. The Ophelia's death is mysterious because some people think that it isn't an accident.

GERTRUDE'S DEATH How??? CLAUDIUS GERTRUDE

GERTRUDE'S DEATH Gertrude drinks a cup of wine which is poisoned by Claudius, but this cup was for Hamlet.

LAERTES' DEATH How??? HAMLET LAERTES

LAERTES'S DEATH Laertes fights Hamlet in fencing match. He uses a poisoned sword. It was a trick created by Claudius and Laertes. Hamlet exchanges swords, so he kills Laertes with his own sword.

CLAUDIUS' DEATH How??? HAMLET CLAUDIUS

CLAUDIUS' DEATH Finally Hamlet revenges his father when he poisons Claudius. The story ends how it had begun.

HAMLET'S DEATH How?? LAERTES HAMLET

HORATIO HE IS THE ONLY CHARACTER WHO SURVIVES TO TELL EVERYBODY THE TRUTH.

CONCLUSION In Hamlet's tragedy, we can find different kinds of death. King Hamlet is murdered by power desire. (Walt Disney told the same story at Lion's King. Scar represents Claudius. He kills Simba's father). Queen Gertrude is killed by mistake. The fate makes that she drinks a wrong cup. Friends, Rosencratz & Guildenstern, commit betrayal and they have to die. Polonius dies because of his curiosity. Ophelia is in love with Hamlet and mourns her father’s death causing her to become mad. Laertes is won by Hamlet because he also betrays Hamlet and he must die. Hamlet’s death is necessary because he can't live after having seen so many deaths. The fate orders his death. Horatio can't die because he has to tell everybody what happened to the royal family. CONCLUSION
