Subject- POLLUTION CONTROL Student name- Mr. Saurabh Kulkarni

What is pollution Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. This pollution can be controlled by some techniques.

Pollution control Introduction Pollution control is a term used in environmental management. It means the control of emission and effluents.into air, water or soil. Without pollution control, the waste products from consumption, heating, agriculture, mining, manufacturing, transportation and other human activities, whether they accumulate or disperse, will degrade the environment. In the hierarchy of controls, pollution prevention and waste minimization are more desirable than pollution control. In the field of land development, low impact development is a similar technique for the prevention of urbon runoff.

Pollution control techniques Recycling 'Recycling' is a process using materials (waste) into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials. Reuse To reuse is to use an item again after it has been used.

Pollution preventing Compost Pollution prevention (P2) describes activities that reduce the amount of pollution generated by a process, whether it is consumer consumption, driving, or industrial production. Compost Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed and recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment.

Pollution control devices Dust collection system A dust collector is a system used to enhance the quality of air released from industrial and commercial processes by collecting dust and other impurities from air or gas. Scrubbers Scrubber' systems are a diverse group of air pollution control devices that can be used to remove some particulates and/or gases from industrial exhaust streams

Industrial wastewater system Sewage treatment Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage both runoff (effluents), domestic, commercial and institutional. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants. Industrial wastewater system Industrial wastewater treatment covers the mechanisms and processes used to treat waters that have been contaminated in some way by anthropogenic industrial or commercial activities prior to its release into the environment or its re-use.
