Mission Statement The Central Services Division is responsible for the planning, capital acquisition, and maintenance of all county facilities and vehicles. The goal of this support division is to maximize the utilitarian value of county resources while optimizing operational and capital costs. Strategic planning and visionary leadership will determine the destiny of the division. Central Services team members are proud to provide safe, clean, and environmentally-friendly county facilities and vehicles, as well as efficient, cost-effective, customer-focused repair and maintenance services.

Besides the normal vehicles you would assume in a fleet, here are some examples wide range of vehicles that Volusia County Fleet Management services each year

Our Green Fleet Initiative Acquired 28 hybrid-electric vehicles Acquired 440 flex-fuel (ethanol) vehicles Electric-powered golf carts and fork lifts Natural gas generator reduces GHG Propane-powered mowers and turf equipment Heavy trucks specified for optimum fuel efficiency and GPS monitoring. Energy Conservation Measures T.C. Kelly Administration Building – 175,000 Sq. Ft. 2 chillers, VSD’s, cooling towers, VAV controls w/BACnet, lighting & Oc sensors, plumbing fixtures $200k, 1.2 mil. gal. per year TCK Administration Building - DeLand

Energy Conservation Measures Improvements included: Installation of new controls Installation of a split air conditioner system in the digital recording room and a mini split in the electrical room this allowed us to put the chillers on night setbacks for the rest of the building Retrofits of the lights in the parking garage Retrofit 1761 lamps within the main building which allowed for the remove 200 ceiling mounted can lights. Total Savings: From 2012 to 2013 – 336,415 kWh From 2013 to 2014 – 1,275,583 kWh with a cost savings over the two years of $140,188 If Facilities didn't perform any of the ECMs the county's energy bill for the facility would have increased $54,367.86 per year Volusia County Courthouse - DeLand

EOC/Consolidated Dispatch Center The county’s Emergency Operations Center and Consolidated Dispatch Center was awarded LEED Silver Certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in August 2014 New 44,000 Sq.
