Live Changed! Ephesians 4:17-32

May there be a difference in us! And there is because of Christ. “I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness.”—John 12:46 We didn’t come to know Christ to remain in darkness

May there be a difference in us! And there is because of Christ. We live a new life Romans 6:1-4, 22 Many in this world have lost their moral compass. What is right for me is right for me… We know the truth of what is right from wrong because Christ is truth. We are called to be the light of the world. We are called to be the salt of the earth.

May there be a difference in us! And there should be in the way we think. Paul told the Ephesians that by being in Christ they needed to change the way they thought. “to be made new in the attitude of your minds;” Ephesians 4:23

We must be “Kingdom minded.” “If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:1-2

“For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God “For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:3-4

“Therefore, consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion (letting your emotions rule you), evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.” Colossians 3:5

May there be a difference in us! And there should be in the way we think. Transformed thinking will help us be… Better witnesses And handle trials, persecutions, & temptations better.

May there be a difference in us! And there should be in the way we conduct ourselves. Lay aside falsehood and speak the truth with our neighbor. Do not sin in your anger. Don’t give the devil an opportunity or a foothold. Let him who steals steal no longer. Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth. Put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, slander and malice. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit.

May there be a difference in us! And there should be in our forgiveness. We can’t have a limit on how we forgive. Jesus said 70 x 7 Or who we forgive “Forgive us our sins as we also have forgiven those who sin against us.”—Matthew 6:12 If you don’t forgive men their sins, God will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15 No passage of time leads to automatic forgiveness either.

May there be a difference in us! And there should be in our forgiveness. We must have a spirit of forgiveness like Joseph. We must seek forgiveness out of Godly sorrow. II Corinthians 7:10 God can forgive our guilt. “I acknowledged my sin to Thee, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”; And thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin.”—Psalm 32:5
