Welcome to The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

This is the beginning of the core of the program(me) IB Requirements Course Requirements What its really going to be like (you may have heard rumors) What is the point?

International Baccalaureate The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

What does that mean for me? 6 Exams - HL and SL Theory of Knowledge Course Extended Essay 150 CAS Hours

Theory of Knowledge Course You may be up to other things as well, but this is what we mean when we say IB, IB Diploma, or IB Program… 6 Exams - HL and SL Theory of Knowledge Course Extended Essay 150 CAS Hours

This is What IB Says… The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year curriculum, primarily aimed at students aged 16 to 19. It leads to a qualification that is widely recognized by the world’s leading universities. Students learn more than a collection of facts. The Diploma Programme prepares students for university and encourages them to: ask challenging questions learn how to learn develop a strong sense of their own identity and culture develop the ability to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures.
Schools teach the programme in English, French and/or Spanish. The Diploma Programme is one of three programmes offered by the IB. (from www.ibo.org)
