Standard 1 – Purpose & Direction Powerful Practices DCS engages in a comprehensive process to review, evaluate and communicate purpose of the school. Leadership and staff commit to a culture of teacher and learning supporting education and achievement. Leadership implements a continuous improvement process that provides clear direction to support student learning.

Standard 2: Governance Powerful Practices: Areas to Improve: Governing body establishes policies and supports practices for effective administration. Governing body operates responsibly and functions effectively. Governing body ensures school leadership autonomy. Leadership and staff supervision and evaluation result in improved professional practice. Areas to Improve: Leadership and staff foster a culture consistent with purpose and direction. Leadership engages stakeholders effectively to support purpose and direction.

Recommendation Consequently, the External Review Team recommends to the AdvancED Accreditation Commission that the institution earn the distinction of accreditation for a five-year term. AdvancED will review the results of the External Review to make a final determination including the appropriate next steps for the institution in response to these findings.
