How shall the young secure their hearts? AND GUARD THEIR LIVES FROM SIN?

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM: Ultimately the devil is the problem. People are caught up in his lies. Worldliness in the church because Christians bring it into their lives. These are not unlike the problems the churches faced in the first Century.

WHAT ARE THE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS WE FACE TODAY IN THE CHURCH? Seek wisdom from above and not from men’s wisdom! Many seek out Dr. Phil, Dr. James Dobson’s books, instead of faithful gospel preachers.

The solution is found in the study of God’s Word. Psalm 119:9-16 “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.” Psalm 127:1; Matthew 7:24-28 “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”

Parents have responsibilities in the Lord as does the whole family: Physical Israel was instructed in Deut. 4:9, how important it was to teach their children. Ephesians 6:1-4 The teachings of Paul when he wrote to Titus in Titus 2:3-5

SEVEN DIFFERENT WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF CHILDREN WHO DO NOT RESPECT THEIR PARENTS OR GOD. OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN THE LORD. Ephesians 6:1-3 BE CAREFUL WHO YOU MAKE YOUR CLOSES FRIENDS. 1 Corinthians 15:33 LEARN TO LISTEN TO OLDER PEOPLE AND THOSE CHRISTIANS WHO TRULY LOVE YOU AND WANT THE BEST FOR YOU. 1 Peter 5:5, “Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” LET THE BIBLE BE YOUR ONLY SOURCE OF GOD’S TRUTHS FOUND IN HIS WORD.

STOP – LOOK – LISTEN James 1:19-20 STOP DOING ANYTHING, OR ASSOCIATING WITH ANYONE WHO WOULD TEMPT YOU TO PUT GOD SECOND. BE COMPLETELY HONEST WITH YOUR PARENTS, BECAUSE TO DO OTHERWISE IS TO BE DISRESPECTFUL TO THEM. Romans 1:28-32 “disobedient to parents,”

Conclusion: DON’T FORGET TO PRAY AND READ THE BIBLE WITH YOUR CHILDREN KNOW THAT YOUR FAITH IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND YOUR READING OF HIS WORD. DO NOT TRUST IN THE WISDOM OF MEN. Beware of those that call a social event a Bible study. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; 4:6
