2 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1).
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love. You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?” (Galatians 5:6-7)

3 Entrust: in doing what is right
“Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8)

4 Deposit your soul to the faithful one’s protective care.
“Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator…” (1 Peter 4:19) paratithemi – to place along side; to deposit for protection Examples: 1 Timothy 1:18; 2 Timothy 2:2

5 Deposit your soul to the faithful one’s protective care.
God is the ultimate “safety deposit box.” Paul is an example of a sinner entrusting his soul to God (2 Timothy 2:11; 1 Timothy 1:15; Acts 22:16)

6 The entrusting of our souls is not a one time only action but continuous.
“Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.” (1 Peter 4:19) “Trust in the LORD and do good;… Wait for the LORD and keep His way ” (Psalm 37:3, 34) Ongoing suffering uniquely has a way of discouraging Christians.

7 The entrusting of our souls is not a one time only action but continuous.
Jesus is our Motivation to give ourselves over to the will of the Father (1 Peter 2:21-25). He did not veer from His mission (ex: Matthew 16:23; 26:39) Shepherd and Guardian of your souls Psalm 23 – Daily entrust yourself to your Shepherd

8 Secure your trust by doing what is right.
The certainty of the deposit of our souls is assured through diligent practice of what is right (2 Peter 1:10-11). What right things call for a constant entrusting to God?

9 Secure your trust by doing what is right.
Expose unfruitful deeds of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). Don’t run with the world’s excesses (1 Peter 4:3-4). Fight to stay married (1 Corinthians 7:10). Discipline a brother who is sinning (1 Corinthians 5:11).

10 Secure your trust by doing what is right.
“Bless those who persecute you,… overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:14, 21). Do not participate with false teaching (2 John 10-11). Flee idolatry (1 Corinthians 10:14).
