Reducing Your Carbon Footprint By: Amanda Anzalone

In Your House: 1. Don't use the dryer. 2. Wash clothes with cold water. 3. Use Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs. 4. Use the microwave. 5. Turn off your lights. 6. Regulate your home temperature. 7. Clean or replace air filters. 8. Lower the thermostat on your water heater to 120 degrees. 9. Set refrigerator temperature. 10. Use dishwashers instead of washing dishes by hand. 11. Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. 12. Reduce water in your toilet tank. 13. Use a low-flow showerhead to conserve water. 14. Unplug your electronics. 15. Car pools.

In Your Office: 1. Use both sides of the paper. 2. Reuse items like envelopes, folders, and paper clips. 3. Use a bulliten board for memos rather than sending copies to each employee. 4. Used recycled paper. 5. Recycle printer cartridges. 6. Use soy based ink which is less toxic. 7. Use a ceramic coffee mug.
