Say Something By: A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera Yale Gwag Ms. Galloway English March 24, 2014

Summary This song is about how the speaker’s lover died. Speaker can’t believe that he’s lover died so that is why speaker is saying “say something.” But eventually nothing changed. In the end speaker accepted her death.

Speaker In the song there a singer name is name A Great Big World & the famous singer name Christina Aguilera. The point of view is from A Great Big World. The singer’s tone is sad and apologetic because there giving up on there lover. The song makes me feel sad because giving up on to some one is sad.

Musicality In this song they use piano to make listener and reader make more sad. The beat is slow and the singer sing sad sound. In this song the Great Big World use high voice and Christina Aguilera use low voice to support the Great World voice. Those voice describe sad and mad feeling to reader and listeners.

Theme The song trying to tell to listener to realize what is the true love is. In another word if you feel it’s not really true love, then give up on to theme and find true love for you're life. But if you sorry for theme then that is the true love.

Personal Connection I choose this song because there is my one of favorite singer is there. This song make me brave because the singer give up on it because it’s not true love it not easy to say. When I hear this I always can see this word in my head “so be brave for you’re life!” That is why I choose this song.
