Second Sunday of Lent

Glory and Praise to you Oh Christ Christ is with us HE IS WITH US INDEED AND SO WE GATHER. IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER…

Peace be with you Please turn to the person next to you and offer them the sign of Peace.

Living God, may the word of God make our thoughts loving, our words kind and our hearts warm. Amen.

Lord Jesus, you welcome us into your family. Lord Have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Jesus Christ, you bring hope and joy to all who believe in you. Christ have mercy Christ, have mercy. Lord Jesus, you wash away the sins of the world. Lord have mercy

From the bright cloud the Father’s voice was heard: “This is my Son, the Beloved, Listen to Him.

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke Glory to you, Oh Lord The Gospel of the Lord Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today? What did Jesus go up the mountain to do ? Why do you think Jesus’ friends saw him appear to change ? Who spoke from the cloud saying, “Listen to Him.” ? How can you speak to and listen to God ?

Prayer

As brothers and sisters in one loving family, together let us pray to our Heavenly Father. That during Lent we think of and DO things for other people. Lord in your mercy, Lord hear our prayer. That during Lent we think about ourselves and how we can be even better. That during Lent we pray. Help us to listen to You; help us to thank You; ask You to make things better; ask You questions; let us praise you for the wonder of our World.

Knowing that our heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts, let us share our own unspoken prayers with him.

Sing a simple song unto the Lord Sing it with your heart   Sing a simple song unto the Lord Sing it with your heart Sing it with your soul Oh Lord I Love You Oh Lord I see I see that You love me Say a simple prayer unto the Lord Oh Lord I Love You Oh Lord I see I see that You love me

Go in Peace and announce the word of the Lord In the name of the Father…
