Plants have many parts: roots, stem, leaves and flower

ROOTS It is the part of the plant that is under the ground.

USING THEIR ROOTS, PLANTS TAKE WATER AND MINERALS FROM THE SOIL Roots have got two main functions: To absorb water and minerals from the soil (nutrition). USING THEIR ROOTS, PLANTS TAKE WATER AND MINERALS FROM THE SOIL

To hold the plant in the ground (so the plant can´t go away with the wind, the rain,...). THE WIND CAN´T TAKE THE PLANTS AWAY THANKS TO THE PLANTS´ ROOTS

STEM: it is the part of the plant that connects the roots with the leaves. Stems can be woody or soft. SOFT STEM: FLOWERS WOODY STEM: TREES

LEAVES: They grow from the stem or from the branches LEAVES: They grow from the stem or from the branches. They use water, minerals, sunlight and air to make food for the plant. That is why most of the leaves ar flat (to get as much sunlight as possible).
