Two Essential Definitions 1. Planning Planning is basic in management. Failure to plan is planning to fail. It is an unending process. That’s the reason why there is such a thing called Plan A and Plan B. Planning requires the application of certain strategies to make sure internal and external factors will not affect the operations of the business. In planning, the most basic tool is the use of the SWOT analysis to know the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in every action the business organization will take.

The Authoritarian style 3. Leading/Directing Employees and workers are not all the same. Since each person is unique in his own ways, the manager must be able to think of ways to deal with different types of human resources. The win- win situation aims at winning the trust of the workers and at the same time make the business successful also to be able to earn profit and provide service to everyone involved in the business. The Authoritarian style The Democratic style

Sample Exercise What management function do you think will you be good at? Explain. Do you agree that human resources are the best assets of the business organization? Why? Explain: Failure to plan is planning to fail. Who among the leaders mentioned in page one do you think has the best management success ? Why?

A Reference you would recommend and why? - Very informational and interesting

Would you use that book if you were a teacher? Yes, I would use this book if I were to be a teacher as it gives just the basics which will help me match the students intellectual and creativity level.
