TEST METHODOLOGY WITH THE BITHERMAL CALORIC TEST INTRODUCED BY FITZGERALD AND HALLPIKE IN 1942. EACH EAR IS IRRIGATED WITH 250 ML OF WATER DURING 40 SECONDS. THE WATER TEMPERATURE IS 30 DEG. DURING COLD CALORIC TESTING AND 44 DEG. DURING WARM CALORIC TESTING. 1

BINAURAL BITHERMAL AIR CALORIC TEST. THE AIR CALORIC STIMULATOR HAS THE ADVANTAGE OF BEING ABLE TO BE USE IN THE PRESENSE OF THE TYMPANIC MEMBRANE PERFO- RATION. EACH EAR IS STIMULATED WITH 8 L OF EAR DURING 60 SEC. FOR COOL CALORIC TEST THE TEMPERATURE IS 24 DEG. AND FOR WARM STIMULATION THE TEMPERATURE IS 50 DEG. 4
