Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are a Government sponsored initiative enabling access to knowledge & technology KTP encourages collaboration between universities and industry They are a flexible programme of between 12 months to 3 years which address issues strategic to company development, e.g. - develop new/improved products - enhance business process - facilitate more effective management systems

KTPs are not sector specific Suitable areas for programmes could include Product design/development Manufacturing Process Technology Transfer Marketing Installation of systems – Management, Quality, ICT Environmental
