What are Apprenticeships What are Apprenticeships? An apprentice is employed to undertake education and training Learn as you work Become highly skilled Become employable – great prospects and meaningful qualifications

Apprenticeships at Centrax The recruitment process 4 year apprenticeship and what it includes Other opportunities available for apprentices Our Training Academy – who is in involved

Entry requirements for apprenticeships Advanced Apprentice – Technician Level - minimum of 5 GCSE’s @ grade A & B Inc. Maths, English and Science Advanced Apprenticeship – Craft Level - minimum of 5 GCSE’s @ A – C Age requirements – 16+

Qualifications they will achieve Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Extended Diploma Level 3 National Certificate or VRQ at College Functional Skills Level 2 & 3 HNC / HND Level 4 Possibility of Foundation Degree / HE progression

What is work experience. What are the benefits What is work experience? What are the benefits? We offer placements in CTCL and GTD e.g. CNC assistance, mechanical engineering, CAD work, assembly fitter work, toolroom assistance Schools have first choice and then take individual request Range of placement supervisors available to support the student – all have had Safeguarding Training.

Other Opportunities Schools / Students – Site Tours Take a maximum of 20 students at one time for an hour tour of Centrax Tours are conducted by our apprentices You will be provided with PPE An opportunity for questions and answers after the tour or during the tour

Other Opportunities Career Events & Talks: We are available to attend career exhibitions at the School and help with mock interviews/CV building etc. Engineering Challenges: We have created challenges and team building exercises for students that are interested in engineering, this is a half a day challenge where we could come to you at the School or you could complete the challenge here at Centrax. The students will have the opportunity to work alongside our apprentices of all ages.
