The Four Seasons

winter Winter is in December, January, and February Winter is very cold. Sometimes, in Georgia, it may snow. It is very cold in the winter. During the winter, trees do not have any leaves. Flowers usually do not bloom.

spring Spring takes place in March, April, and May. Flowers bloom in Spring. Trees grow leaves during Spring. While it may still get cold, Spring is a little warmer than Winter. Birds migrate, or fly, from the south to the north.

Summer Summer is a very hot season. People like to swim during the summer. Summer takes place in June, July, and August. People often take vacations in the summer. School is closed during the summer. Trees have their leaves and flowers bloom. Gardens grow during summer.

Fall OR autumn Fall takes place September, October, and November. Leaves change colors, and then fall off of trees. Birds migrate south. It begins to get cooler.
