Presentation transcript:

Integumentary System Function: Helps maintain homeostasis in your body, protection by providing a barrier from the environment, regulates body temperature and hydration. Organs: Skin, Sweat Glands, Hair/Hair follicles, Nails

Muscular System Function: Provides movement of the bones, all body functions rely on muscles to complete there tasks as all internal organs are made up of smooth muscle. Organs: Skeletal Muscles Smooth Muscles Cardiac Muscles(Heart)

Skeletal System Function: Provide structure for the body, support and protect of vital organs, red blood cell formation Organs: Bones Cartilage Ligaments Tendons Joints

Nervous System Function: Regulates the body's responses to internal and external stimuli. Organs: Brain, Spinal cord, Nerves,

Endocrine System Function: Regulates body activities by chemical messengers. Organs: Pineal gland Pituitary gland Thyroid gland Adrenal gland Pancreas

Respiratory System Function: Responsible for gas exchange: intake and exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between an organism and the environment. Organs: Lungs, Trachea Nasal passages (Nose) Bronchi

Circulatory System Function: Delivers blood, oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body and removes waste. Organs: Heart, Blood, Blood Vessels

Digestive System Function: To break down macromolecules into smaller molecules that can be absorbed by the body. Organs: Mouth Stomach Small Intestines Large Intestines Colon Rectum Esophagus

Excretory System Function: The bodily process of discharging liquid waste. Organs: Kidneys Ureter Bladder Urethra

Female Reproductive Systems Function: Produces eggs, female sex hormones, and responsible for the development of a baby. Organs: Ovary Uterus Fallopian Tube Vagina

Male Reproductive System Function: Produce sperm and produce male sex hormones. Organs: Testis Scrotum Urethra Penis Prostrate
