St. Anthony’s College, Shillong Established in 1934. There are 29 Departments. With 160 faculty members. 70 administrative and support staff. Student strength of about 2700 With ranks 113 ranks (2012) in the University.

STAR College Scheme of Department of Biotechnology, GOI. UGC grant for up-gradation of science laboratories and classrooms. Bioinformatics Facility: funded by the Department of Biotechnology, GOI.

Cancer Biology and Tumour Immunology Research Laboratory, Department of Biotechnology. Genetics Research Laboratory, Department of Zoology. Visiting faculty from international universities (Vienna University, Austria ; Appalachian College, USA; College of Wooster, USA.) Faculty attended national and international symposia.
