Together in Mission The Associate Registration Option! This year’s USCMA annual conference, Together in Mission, is an exciting opportunity to share our gifts, experiences, and thoughts about Missionary Discipleship with each other and in particular with young adults and professionals. Do you have college students, novices, or recent college graduates that are interested in joining us in Cincinnati? We are offering a new registration option, the Associate. For half of the cost of a member’s conference registration, the Associate registration will be an opportunity for you to share all of this year’s conference activities with the next generation of missioners. Registration Type Cost USCMA Members $   325.00 Non-members $   475.00 Associates* $   160.00 Saturday Only $     89.00 www.uscatholicmission.org

Witnessing Mission: Called to be Missionary Disciples Mission Congress 2015 Instead of having our annual USCMA conference, we convened the Catholic Mission Forum’s (CMF) 4th Mission Congress. The Mission Congress was held in Houston, Texas and brought hundreds of participants from the CMF member organizations as well as several participants from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and surrounding dioceses. Among the talks and discussions that took place during the congress, participants were able to learn more about how the people in Houston and the surrounding cities follow the Gospel in their care for those in need; looking after children; protecting those escaping from human trafficking and immigrants; and caring for creation. The Proceedings from the Mission Congress, Witnessing Mission: Called to be Missionary Disciples, are being finalized and will be available in the coming week. To learn more about the proceedings and videos check out www.missioncongress.org. If you attended the Mission Congress and would like to share your own reflection, please contact Stephen Scott at sscott@uscatholicmission.org or (202)832-3112.

2017 USCMA Conference Is there an aspect of Mission that you are interested in? What themes in Mission are challenging you today? How can USCMA help you learn about a Mission related action or practice? Are there any organizations you feel USCMA should collaborate with to broaden our missionary outreach and understanding? These are just some of the questions we are asking ourselves as we reflect on our mission and chart a new direction. Help us by sharing your thoughts as begin to design our 2017 conference. Please share your questions, thoughts, and dreams with us. We are looking to hear from you about the theme for next year’s USCMA Conference! If you have any questions or suggestions you can contact the USCMA office at (202) 832-3112. We are open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday EDT.

Third Wave of Mission www.thirdwaveofmission.org USCMA is proud to be a part of the Third Wave of Mission Institute. The Third Wave Mission Institute offers training modules for those involved in short-term experiences. This training was designed for those involved in short-term missions, immersions, parish twinning, medical missions, and other volunteer service. We hope these modules will enhance and deepen the mission experiences of the members involved. Mission topics we offer: Understanding Culture: Implications for mission Parish Twinning Relationships The Spirituality of Mission Relationships: key to mission History & theology of mission Overview of mission for today Partnership projects Inter-religious and Inter-cultural dialogue Integrating the mission experience To learn more, go to: www.thirdwaveofmission.org. If you have any questions about the meeting you can contact the USCMA office at (202) 832-3112. We are open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday EDT.

New Programs: Ideas and Suggestions The staff of USCMA are dedicated to helping you, our members, grow in your lives of missionary service. Are there programs you would like USCMA to offer for you and people who are interested in Mission? Let us know and begin the opportunity to develop new and better programs to advance our work in the light of God’s Kingdom here on earth. If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact Stephen Scott at sscott@uscatholicmission.org or (202) 832-3112. We are open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday EDT.

Join us for Together in Mission The United States Catholic Mission Association’s 2016 Conference will take place in the Cincinnati, Ohio region and is entitled: Together in Mission- Celebrating Concrete Expressions of Missionary Discipleship Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. In honor of USCMA’s 35th Anniversary, the aim of USCMA’s 2016 conference will be to highlight the mission reality of US Catholics serving around the world and at home and reflect how these realities can help make our local communities a reflection of Jesus’ liberating spirit and how these expressions of mission will adapt in the coming years. Click here to learn more.

This concludes our prepared remarks This concludes our prepared remarks. I would like to say thank you to our members for your continued support will help us in supporting our mission. It is much appreciated. And thank you all for joining us.
