Task / Questions Complete activity 3 If you die a Christian and all your sins are forgiven, what will happen to you? If you die a Christian and all your sins are not forgiven, what will happen to you? If you die and you are not a Christian and you’re a bad person then what will happen to you? Where would we find Catholic teaching about purgatory? Read page 31 Explain 4 ways in which belief in life after death affect the way Catholics live their lives Do you stand a chance of going to heaven if you are from another religion? What will happen when Jesus returns? How might the idea of hell cause problems for some Catholics?

Summary When you die you either go to: Heaven (If your sins are forgiven) Purgatory (If you a Christian but have un-forgiven sins) Hell (If you are not a Christian) At the end of time, Jesus will come again and create a new heaven and a new earth. Those from heaven and purgatory will go to the new heaven and earth. Everyone else suffers eternal death.
