Major Steps In Building a SFR

After getting the lot----Design your Home and have plans drawn up Pre Construction Step 1 After getting the lot----Design your Home and have plans drawn up

Construction Step 1- Prepare Site and Pour Foundation Grade to compact and level property Put in rough plumbing that goes in slab Prepare and pour footings and foundation

Construction Step -- 2 House is framed and closed in. Exterior windows and doors are hung Plywood or oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing is applied to the exterior walls and roof. The sheathing is then covered with a protective barrier known as a house wrap; it prevents liquid water from infiltrating the structure, while allowing water vapor to escape. This reduces the likelihood of mold and wood rot.

Construction Step –3 Rough Plumbing and Electric before Drywall Sewage and water lines are installed Basic electrical wiring is installed in walls. Heating and air conditioning is installed.

Construction Step 4 Drywall and finish work Insulation installed Drywall is installed Cabinetry is installed Painting may take place now Finish Plumbing installed including toilets, sinks, showers, etc. May have separate trade to install showers. Finish HVAC and Electric Flooring installed Finish molding installed Appliances installed

Construction Step – 5 Exterior Finish Siding, brick, stucco etc. completed. Driveway poured Finish grading Landscape
