How did the Treaty of Versailles treat Germany?

Learning objective – to be able to explain the impact of the Treaty of Versailles on Germany . I can describe some of the ways the Treaty of Versailles on Germany Grade 5 I can explain how the Treaty of Versailles on Germany. What did the Germans get at Versailles?

Task The table below shows the key features of the Treaty of Versailles. List them under three headings – LAND, ARMY and MONEY. The German army was limited to 100,000 soldiers. German coal was now mined by France. Germans forced to build merchant ships for Allies. Germany lost its overseas empire Reparations fixed at £6.6 billion. Germany lost 13% of its territory and six million people. Germans were not allowed tanks, planes or subs. Reparations included goods and services. Germany was now divided into two. Rhineland was demilitarised. German navy was limited to six battleships. Germany lost territory with lots of raw materials.
