Tardies and Hallsweeps 3 Tardies = 1 Detention 3 Hallsweeps = 1 Detention 5 or more Hallsweeps or Tardies = removal of student privileges: - Dances (Homecoming, Winter Ball, Valentines) - Pep Rallies - Fieldtrips

Detentions Detention Times Monday – Friday 8:00am-8:45am Monday – Thursday 4:30pm-5:15pm Friday 3:30pm-4:15pm Detentions take place in the auditorium Failure to Serve Detention will result in In School Suspension

In School Suspension All day If you have been assigned, it must be served You receive a grade for the day that applies to your classes

Reentering the Building Students are expected to stay in the building from 9:00am-4:23pm Entering the building through an unsecured entrance will result in an In School Suspension Likewise, opening up doors to students or strangers will result in an In School Suspension If you see someone outside, let security know and they will respond Students that have left the building are not allowed in after 4:23pm (not for sports, detention, Night School, etc.)

Personal Belongings You should have received a locker from your English teacher Do not share your lock combination with others Make sure you lock up your gym locker You are responsible for all of your belongings, including cell phones

Uniform Policy The following pieces of UNALTERED clothing are acceptable: TOPS George Washington issued t-shirts or hoodies PLAIN navy blue or white polo shirts with no writing and logo not to exceed 1” PLAIN navy blue or white hoodies or crew neck sweatshirts with no writing and logo not to exceed 1” PLAIN navy blue or white cardigans or crew neck sweaters BOTTOMS Khaki pants/shorts/skirts/capris that are an acceptable length (extremely short skirts or shorts are not allowed) George Washington issued sweatpants or shorts Navy blue sweatpants or shorts NOT ALLOWED Hoodies that are not plain navy blue or white Plain white t-shirts *GET A RENTAL IN THE MORNING, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE TOLD*

Cafeteria Procedures Throw away your own garbage Remain in cafeteria for entire lunch period (or go to library if its open) To see a teacher or a counselor YOU MUST HAVE A PASS

Security Get to know security They scan you in the morning and are in hallways and the cafeteria They are the buffer between the classroom and the discipline office Cooperate and work with them, they are there to help you resolve issues

Social Media Be smart before you post Do not post anything disrespectful, inappropriate, or illegal that you would not want school officials or your parents to see No bullying or harassment online
