Create your account Click the 'Create a myGov account' button. 7 Create your account Click the 'Create a myGov account' button. Enter your email address, read and accept the terms of use, before clicking 'Next'. A confirmation code will be sent to your email. Enter your confirmation code.

8 Set up your account Set up your account by providing your mobile phone number and entering and confirming a password. Choose three secret questions and answers. This will generate a username for your account. Your username identifies you and will be emailed to you when you create your account. Make sure you keep your username in a safe place.

15 Your mygov If you have a Customer Reference Number (CRN) you can register for a Centrelink online account through mygov. Note: Australians will be required to sign up for online myGov accounts when lodging their tax returns.
