How Children Succeed

How to help our children succeed when others might fail

Some key points from the book:. 1. Non cognitive skills matter Some key points from the book: 1. Non cognitive skills matter. These are things like persistence, self control, curiosity, conscientiousness, grit and self confidence. 2. Close nurturing relationships with parents and caregivers build resilience. 3. Children need challenge and a little hardship and the possibility of failure to build character. 4. Students do better academically if they think they can learn something through hard work.

Back to School Open House Monday August 21st 6:00-7:30 Students are invited to come and meet their teacher. Be sure to watch your teachers Office Mix before coming.
