The Agricultural Revolution (18th Century) Ms. Graham Agriscience Foundations

Essential Question: How did the 18th Century Agricultural Revolution change the world of Agriculture? Objectives: 1. List inventions in agriculture that have revolutionized the world. 2. Explain what the Agricultural Revolution is, and when it occurred. 3. Describe how agriculture evolved as a result of the Agricultural Revolution.

18th Century Agricultural Revolution Second Agricultural Revolution Moved the world of Agriculture to Mechanization and reduced work load. Occurred during the same time as the Industrial Revolution, ending in the early 19th Century.

Why does it matter? Major turning point in history. Agricultural Revolution means more food. More efficient technologies and practices mean we get more food, more efficiently. This Revolution provided the agricultural productivity needed to support the growing population.
