Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~Romans 13:9-10~ The Commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore Love is the fulfillment of the Law.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! Children of God are required to Love ALL People (Galatians 6:10, 1 Thessalonians 3:12) Including Our Enemies. (Matthew 5:44)

It’s a HEART Thang!!! We are also commanded to Love all True Born Again Christians in a Special Way. (John 13:34,Galatians 6:10,1 Thessalonians 3:12, 1 John3:11)

IT’S A HEART THANG!! Love for God is the First Greatest Command (Matthew 22:37-38) Therefore God’s -Holiness -His Desire for Purity -His Will and Standard As revealed in Scripture must never be compromised in our practice of Love for all people.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~1 Corinthians 13~ If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~1 Corinthians 13~ If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~1 Corinthians 13~ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~1 Corinthians 13~ When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! We are NOTHING without Love!! What is essential to true Christian Faith is Love expressed through an ethic that does no harm to others.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! God is more interested in our Character more than Ministry, Faith, or the Possession of Spiritual Gifts.

It’s a HEART Thang!!! ~ 2 Peter 1:5-9~ For this very reason, make every effort to add to y our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self control; and to self control, perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
