Economy in the 1920 The economic prosperity of the 1920s is accompanied by massive consumer debt.

Economy in the 1920s New system on buying on credit leads to: Making a once frugal nation into consumers of cars, radios, and other goods Leads American’s to “process today and pay tomorrow” Stimulates economic growth in the country However, it does not create long- term prosperity in the U.S.
