Rmit – snap process The SNAP access scheme is designed to increase tertiary access and participation of eligible students from SNAP partner schools by giving them priority access to RMIT’s certificate IV, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree and degree programs. How it works SNAP applicants who have their school’s endorsement may receive additional consideration when applying for programs at RMIT. For programs that select on ATAR, eligible SNAP applicants receive a significant re-ranking if their ATAR is no more than 20 points below the clearly-in ATAR for that program. For programs that select on a range of criteria, such as folio or interview, SNAP applicants will receive consideration on their performance in these tasks.

CHISHOLM INSTITUTE Anybody applying for courses at Chisholm Institute must complete a direct entry application. Chisholm promote their courses through the VTAC course guide but do not take enrolments through the VTAC application process. See Nancy for more information.

Open days - Lectures Don’t forget to make sure you attend Open Days – Copies are on Compass Term 3 holidays Lectures - TBA

Important information All students in Year 12 will have the chance to book a one on one interview with the Careers Practitioner at the College commencing Monday 14 August Students can only book an appointment once they have created and completed the VTAC registration and Career Action Plan. Please ensure you have researched the courses you wish to apply for. Please use a personal email address. Appointment will be available for booking via Compass. Those who have already booked their appointment could you please reschedule. Demonstrations on the VTAC registration process will be held during lunchtime – watch the Year 12 Compass feed for details

SEAS/SCHOLARSHIPS Students intending on continuing their studies during 2018 will have a one on one interview with a Wellbeing Counsellor to discuss meeting SEAS / Scholarship criteria. 20 minute appointments will be available for booking via Compass, starting 16th August. Demonstrations on the SEAS / Scholarship process will be held during lunchtime – watch the Year 12 Compass feed for details

Find Courses Apply SEAS and Scholarships Offers Create a VTAC account All VTAC applications are completed online using the same VTAC ID and PIN Creating an account is a simple question-based process If you’re a current Year 12 student, make sure you enter your student number so that we can access your results later in the year You are Current Year 12’s If a student gets this question wrong the following automatically happens: They will be charged the full processing fee – not the current year 12 processing fee. VTAC will not look for the VCE results when they are released in December and their results and ATAR won’t be matched to their course application. What to do if they get it wrong: Tell the student to telephone 1300 364 133 immediately. If the processing fee hasn’t been paid, then it can probably be fixed. If the processing fee has been paid, there is no reimbursement. There is no point contacting schools liaison unless the student themselves makes direct contact with the customer service area, nothing can be changed.

Many courses include this in Additional considerations and ask applicants to complete it if they have ‘relevant’ work experience.
