Henry Ford and the Assembly Line 4th Grade Social Studies Mini-Lesson March 24, 2015

The Problem Model T cars were not made cheap enough for everyone to buy one Simple and sturdy Mr. Ford wanted to make them more efficiently so they would be cheaper

The Solution The Assembly Line He created 84 steps to make a Model T car Trained workers to do 1 step, and then it moved on to the next worker

Before and After After the Assembly Line Before the Assembly Line After the Assembly Line It would take 12 hours to make 1 car Workers put pieces on the floor and dragged them as the car was made A Model T car could be made in 2 and a half hours Used ropes and pulleys and then a moving belt to move the pieces
