Mini 4-H: 101 So your kid talked you into letting them join Mini 4-H. Just what does that mean? Find out here!

What is Mini 4-H? What is Mini 4-H? Mini 4-H is NON-COMPETITIVE! Designed to encourage positive development of children. 1st – 2nd graders in Hendricks Co. Helps young children: Explore friendships Explore the way in which things work Practice both small and large muscle control Think about ways people work together Mini 4-H is NON-COMPETITIVE! Designed to encourage youth to find their interests! Mini 4-Hers may take 2 of any 15 projects offered.

What is required of Mini 4-Hers? To Learn! To Have Fun! Each project Mini 4-Hers take has a workbook that goes with it! This workbook has activities and experiments they can complete to better understand their project. It even tells what they can create to exhibit at fair in July! Mini 4-H Days are ways to get Mini 4-Hers familiar with each other and the fairgrounds. We want kids to enjoy the projects they do! Work together with parents/friends/family!

What is required of Mini 4-H Parents/Guardians? To Teach! To Learn! We hope that you will help your child as they go through their workbooks! Guide your 4-Her, but don’t do the project for them. STAY POSITIVE! Mini 4-H can be overwhelming to kids and parents! Take time to ask questions! Read your newsletters and mailings! Keep up to date on happenings for 4-Hers if possible.
