KY-MF-1

Our Company

CTFA Name Acrylates copolymer CAS: No 25212-88-8

Sample

Introduction lightly cross-linked acrylate copolymer. acrylic rheology modifier suspend, stabilize, thicken, and enhance the appearance

Properties excellent suspending and stabilizing thickening and desirable flow characteristics high clarity products synergistically with salts

添加标题 Use Clear shampoos, bath gels and cleansers. Pearlescent shampoos and washes. Conditioning products with high molecular weight silicones. Low pH facial and body curbs. Soap-based cleansing systems.

Product Data Sheet Appearance: white emulsion Odor: mild pH range: (5%) 5.0 - 6.0 Density(25℃) 1.03-1.07g/ml Solid content: 30 ± 2% Viscosity(25℃):cps 5-20 Acrylate ethyl <1ppm Viscosity(25℃)(1% neutralize to pH=7):cps <100

Benefits Easy-to-use Suspension and stabilization Thickening and flow control Clear formulation Excellent compatibility Synergistic Thickening with Salt Storage Period Enhanced Pearlization Higher pH

1: Viscosity in surfactants COMPARE 1: Viscosity in surfactants KY-MF-1 has lower viscosity, but in surfactant it displays better synergistic properties Example: Name % (w/w) Water 93 KY-SF-1 7 Use KOH adjusts pH = 7.5, viscosity only 3500Cp,

2: suspending in surfactants COMPARE 2: suspending in surfactants For such insoluble ingredients Gelatin-based and other beads and capsules, Polyethylene, Pumice, Walnut shell, Loofah Result Compare with SF-1, KY-SF-1 use same quantity of SF-1 and adjust same viscosity and same pH, we get the same suspending ability

1: Viscosity in surfactants COMPARE 1: Viscosity in surfactants but another example Name % (w/w) Water 89 SLES 70% 4 KY-SF-1 7 Use KOH adjust pH = 7.5, the viscosity achieve 8500cps

COMPARE 3: Thickening Ability Formulation: Name % (w/w) SLES 70 10.0 Cocamide DEA 1.7 Cocamodopropyl Betaine 5.8 SF-1 / KY-SF-1 7.0 Use KOH to adjust pH = 7.0 Viscosity of the above formula with: KY-SF-1 8600cps SF-1 800cps

COMPARE

COMPARE 4: Clear formulation ----------- ----------- KY-MF-1 enables the formulation of highly transparent shampoo and body washes at pH = 7. Compare with Other Acrylate Copolymer, KY-SF-1 can add a little more salts for clear formulations. A KY-MF-1 Other Acrylate Copolymer 98% A Tranparancy Salt Sodium chloride ----------- ----------- 0.1% 1.0% Salt%

COMPARE V 5: Synergistic Thickening with Salt KY-MF-1 works synergistic with low level of salt to increase suspension and viscosity when the polymer is formulated with surfactants. V KY-MF-1 Other Acrylate Copolymer CPS V Viscosity Salt Sodium chloride Salt%

6: pH: “Back-Acid” Thickening COMPARE 6: pH: “Back-Acid” Thickening The KY-MF-1 is not necessary to use this process.

COMPARE 7: Storage Period Put KY-SF-1 and SF-1 in 48oC oven, after one month, get out to use in formulation to check its suspension ability. For suspension ability of: KY-MF-1 No change Other Acrylate Copolymer Decrease

COMPARE 1: Freeze Test For other acrylate copolymer, If we put in -15 ℃ for one week, it can not restore , But for KY-MF-1, It have no problem. Test -15 ℃ Name Time Result KY-MF-1 1 week Pass Other Acrylate Copolymer 1 week Pass

Suspension Example Formula Name % Water 50.9 Sodium Laureth Sulfide 8 Cocoamide Dea 1.5 KY-CAB-35 2 KY-SF-1 7 Water 7 KOH 0.4 DMDMH 0.3 Perfume q.s Salt q.s Partical 0.1 Adjust viscosity to 10000cs

Suspension Example Stability Test: Temp. Time Result 48 ℃ 3 month Pass Room Temp. 2 years pass

Addition Process 1). Add primary anionic and nonionic surfactant, for example: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Soidum Lauryl Ether Sulfates. 2). Add remaining surfactants, for example: Amphoterics. 3). Add conditioning and ancillary ingredients, for example: silicones, cationics, EDTA. 4). If desired, add pearlizing agent, for example: mica, EGDS, EGMS. 5). Add KY-SF-1 (first mix with water KY-SF-1 ÷ water = 1÷1) 6). Neutralize pH = 6.5 to 7.5 with TEA or KOH or citric acid. 7). Add fragrance, dyes and preservatives. 8). If desired, add sodium chloride or CAB-35 to further increase viscosity.
