Confucius Confucius was a philosopher that lived from 551 B.C. to 479 B.C. and was born in the Warring States Period. He wanted people to treat each other with respect and believed that the society of China could function best if everyone respected the laws and behaved well according to their positions. He made a huge impact on society even though his philosophy wasn’t recorded. After he died, his students made the book of Analects, which became a model for personal and official behavior.
