Our objective for today is: Analize the verb tense used to talk about experiences.

We willl accomplish this by: In a Think, Pair Share activity telling two of our most memorable experiences. As a whole class discussing the structure of a sentence in the Present Perfect tense. In groups preparing a presentation for the affirmative, negative, Yes/No Question and Wh-Question structures of the Present Perfect Tense.

What are the two most memorable experiences you have had? Examples: I have visited a zoo with elephants. I have gone bunjee jumping. Share in groups. Tell your partners about them. Report one that impressed you. Example: Carlos has met a famous person. He… Volcano Villarrica, Chile.

I have visited a zoo with elephants several times. I have never visited a zoo with elephants. Adverbs for experience: Ever Never Present Perfect The focus is on the experience, not on the time it happened.

EXCEPTION: Long period of time. ***I have worked in this company for five years. ***I have lived in Quito since 1999.
