Our Lady of Guadalupe: According to Church documents: December 9th, 1531, Juan Diego, a recent convert, was visited by the Virgin Mary, and instructed to bring a message to the Bishop of Mexico City to build a church on the spot she appeared. Bishop was skeptical, several miracles, healing of Juan’s uncle, flowers growing in winter, image of Virgin Mary on Juan’s cloak…led to building of church and millions of converts.
