Southwest Lone eagle Program A Lone Eagle is a WWII Veteran whose application has been in our national office for one year or more. they do not live close to one of our existing hub cities. Our definition of “close” is within a 120 mile radius of the airport used by the closest hub.

Southwest TLC Program those who served in uniform, that were recently diagnosed with a terminal illness. “TLC” stands for “Their Last Chance” All such veterans, regardless of the conflict they participated in (Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, etc), who wish to visit our nation’s existing memorials, will be invited to do so. Certain criteria needs to be met

Solo Program The Honor Flight Solo program is ideally designed for WWII, Korean & Vietnam veterans and their guardians willing to pay THEIR OWN WAY to BWI Airport. The program is equally accommodating to people meeting the bus tour in Washington, D.C. The Honor Flight Network Solo Program piggy backs on our “Lone Eagle” Program which targets isolated individuals of WWII veterans who have been on our National waiting list for over one year.

Flags of our heroes Program A way to show the respect to our deceased veterans and their families that were unable to see their memorial. Obtain a copy of a 5 x 7 photo of the veteran a copy of the obituary notice, if available. A flag of a deceased WWII Veteran has been donated and is taken along with your Veteran's photo on one of our tours to the memorial in Washington, D.C. The flag, and photo would be placed in front of the memorial and a photo taken. The family would then receive an 8 x 10 photo and a certificate from Honor Flight honoring the veteran. All items taken to Washington would be returned to the family after the trip.
