Definition of an Active Youth As we will be paying for “Active Youth” for many events, let’s come to an agreement of what an active youth is. Participates in the life of the church (acolyte, The Gathering, other obvious service such as lay reader, usher, etc. Parent Agreement and Youth Information forms on file. Participates in service activities as well as fun activities.

Money Matters Any active youth attending New Beginnings Any active youth attending Happening Up to two chaperones for New Beginnings One team member for Happening per event Up to two team members for New Beginnings Determined per event according to current budget but we strive to subsidize tickets. For example, Matthew West tickets cost $22 each (with a minimum participation in 10 people) and we are paying $10 per ticket.

Participation In Activities Minimum per activity will be announced. (Registration in good order, definite, definition of active youth for scholarships). If minimum registration is not achieved by registration deadline the event will be cancelled. There are no minimums for Diocesan or deanery activities. Registration in good order includes “funds received” where appropriate. If there are not adequate chaperones committed (registered) by the registration deadline, the activity will be cancelled. (This will include participation in New Beginnings). Please sign and return parent commitment form stating you understand and agree to this policy before leaving.

Questions and Concerns?

Close in Prayer 47. For Young Persons God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to take failure, not as a measure of their worth, but as a chance for a new start. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
